LPA Rivera observed cleaning compounds items, stored underneath the kitchen sink, and garage. LPA observed the garage door to have a fastener lock, and the bottom sink cabinet locked with a child proof lock making it inaccessible for children to open. LPA observed the knives and sharp objects stored inside top kitchen cabinet making it inaccessible for children to reach. The licensee stated she provides meals for the children. LPA informed licensee any food brought from the children's homes, the container shall be labeled with the child's name and properly stored or refrigerated. Licensee stated she currently does not have any children with severe food allergies nor on medication.
LPA Rivera entered the bathroom and observed the toilet, hand washing sink, hand soap and LPA observed the bottom sink cabinet closed and did not observe hazard materials and observed the bathroom to be in good condition. LPA reminded licensee any personal items (ex; shampoo, toothpaste, mouthwash, or items that fall into that category) must be made inaccessible to children.
LPA Rivera asked the licensee if there were any pets, poisons, firearms, weapons, or bodies of water. The licensee stated she has 3 dogs (Chihuahua, German Shepard, and English bulldog), firearms and above ground jacuzzi and no poisons. LPA observed the 3 dogs, and firearms and ammunition to be stored in the off-limit area in safes and stored separately. LPA observed the jacuzzi to be covered with a padlock and side release buckle locks, making it inaccessible for children to undo the locks.
LPA Rivera observed the required 2A10BC fire extinguisher located in the living room and observed the valve on the green area indicating fully charged. LPA did not observe a service tag or purchase receipt within the year. LPA informed licensee the fire extinguisher must be service annually or show purchase receipt within a year. LPA observed a carbon monoxide detector and smoke alarm located in the daycare room. LPA and licensee tested the carbon monoxide and smoke alarm. LPA heard the sounds and they are operable. For ill isolation, licensee stated she utilizes a corner of the daycare room. LPA observed the last emergency drill conducted on 6/9/25.
LPA Rivera inspected the play outdoor (backyard) area that is utilized by children for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. LPA observed the backyard to be fenced, and side gates closed and with a keypad lock. LPA Rivera observed high climbing play structure equipment. LPA informed licensee to add soft padding to areas to the exits of the slides and swings. LPA observed the yard to have dirt. |
