On March 29 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kuliema Calloway made an unannounced inspection to the Kids and Care Pre School and Child Care Center. The purpose of the visit was to deliver findings for the above allegation(s). LPA met with S1 who granted access.

During the investigation. LPA conducted interviews with children, parents, and staff. Based on the interviews and record review there were consistent statements in the reported allegations that occurred on 1/9/2023. Allegation #1 on Personal Rights, the evidence determined Staff 1 yelled at Child 1 in front of other day care children. Allegation #2 on Personal Rights, the evidence determined Staff 1 handled Child 1 with lack of patience and forced Child 1 into their seat while the child was experiencing an episode of anxiety. Both reported allegations were Substantiated meaning, the preponderance of the evidence standard has been met.

There are two Type A deficiencies cited during this visit. Per Title 22 Regulations, Division 12, Chapter 1, Allegation #1 for Personal Rights 101223 (a)(1) and Allegation #2 for Personal Rights 101223 (a)(3).

Exit Interview was conducted and A copy of this report, Notice of Site Visit, and Appeal Rights were discussed and left with S1 at the facility.
