On 02/16/23 License Program Analyst (LPA) Babatunde Ibitoye conducted an unannounced inspection at the Figueroa De Garcia Family Child Care to continue to assess the Child Care operation. Also, to evaluate the facility’s continuing ability to meet compliance with California Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 22, Health and Safety requirements, and other applicable State and Licensing Statutory requirements. The LPA met with the Licensee, Irma Figueroa, and stated the purpose of the inspection.

The LPA conducted a review of the home to ensure the health and safety of children in the care and more in particular with children’s personal rights are protected. During today’s inspection, LPA observed Licensee’s family dog is Inaccessible to day-care children. The Licensee’s dog remains in the dog kennel located in the backyard. Licensee stated she will completed 8 hours of the Preventative Health and Safety course, Licensee has scheduled to attend an in-person orientation in Spanish in Palmdale Regional Office on 02/28/2023, Licensee stated she will complete a class on pet safety around children. The licensee shall submit proof of completion of the above requirements by February 28, 2023.

During today's inspection, the LPA observed no deficiencies that may hinder the health and safety of the children in care. Therefore, no deficiencies were cited.

Notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.

Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.

An exit interview was conducted and the report was reviewed with the licensee Irma Figueroa and Licensee Adult Son .
