25 | On July 31 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA)Braddock, conducted an unannounced annual visit. LPA met with Licensee, Raynecia Cato who guided LPA on a tour of the home. People who reside in the home are (Licensee and spouse) who are live scanned and have TB skin test on file and minor children (ages). The large family childcare home operates Sunday through Saturday 23 hours a day. Licensee was advised that a staff member must always be awake while children are in care (for 23-hour operation). At the time of the visit there were 2 children present with 1 staff member.
This is a two-story house with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, formal dining room and living room/day care area, family room, loft, laundry room and attached garage. Per Licensee the living room/formal dining room, 1 bathroom and backyard are utilized for the family childcare. Per licensee off-limit areas of the home is the entire upstairs 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, laundry room and 1 bedroom (downstairs) and attached garage. There is not a swimming pool/body of water on the premises. LPA did not observe any pets.
The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds, medicines and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. LPAs observed all items are made inaccessible to children during the time of this inspection. LPAs observed age-appropriate safe toys and napping equipment (cots) on the premises.
