25 | On 9/19/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Carol Heath conducted an unannounced required annual inspection at the Giebe Family Child Care Home. Upon arrival, LPA met with the assistant, Courtney Allensworth, who answered the door. The licensee, Victoria Giebe, was not present. LPA received a text message from the licensee stating that she had gone to get her car washed due to the ash from the fire. Four adults reside in the home, including the licensee, one adult child, and her two sons, aged 15 and 12. According to the Guardian, three individuals are associated with this facility.
This is a large family childcare facility. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. During the inspection, LPA observed four childcare children (Ages 6, 3, 3,and 2). Per the Licensing Information System, annual facility fees were current. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) were discussed. The licensee states that she does have a child who needs IMS at this time.
The home is set up as follows: This is a two-story home with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room, formal dining, a family room, a playroom, and a garage. There is a barricade on the bottom and top staircases; the licensee is reminded that barricade(s) must remain in place during Daycare hours if children under 5 years old are in care.
