On the above noted date and time, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Diana Brasel conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for an increase of capacity/adding a room. The facility has requested to add room 5 for the increase in capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with Owner/Director Kelly Wegley. Owner/Director is requesting to be licensed for 71 pre-school children ages 2 through 5 in classrooms 1, 2, 4, and 5. Room 6 will be used for special activities only.
Hours of operation will be Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 3:00 pm and Friday 8:30 am - 1:00pm. Present during today’s inspection were 33 children with 4 staff. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Kelly Wegley that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.

LPA continued to tour the facility and measured all indoor preschool classrooms activity space. LPA used the preschool playground outdoor measurements from the PL visit. Total indoor activity space measured 3299.29, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 71 children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots/mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via bottled water and the children's own water cups. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. Fire clearance was granted on 04/23/2024.

LPA observed a total of 7 sinks and 8 toilets available for children’s use. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 71 children.
