25 | On the above noted date and, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Diana Brasel conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for an increase in capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director Chela Williams and Angela Esslinger. Facility is requesting to be licensed for 140 preschool children ages 2 to 6 in rooms 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. 9, 10, 11, Chapel room 2, and the multipurpose area. Days and Hours of operation Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 6:00 pm. Present during today’s inspection were 46 children with 10 staff. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Chela Williams that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.
LPA continued to tour the facility and measured all rooms previous and new additional indoor space. LPA used previous measurements for outdoor activity space taken at PL visit on 09/01/22. Total indoor activity space measured 6061.78, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 140 children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via drinking fountains and children's water bottles. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property.
Fire clearance was granted on 09/16/2024.
LPA observed a total of 21 sinks and 10 toilets available for children’s use. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 140 children.
