On Tuesday, October 29, 2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Braddock conducted an unannounced complaint inspection to deliver findings on the above allegations. LPA met with licensee, Brittany Harris and toured the facility. At the time of the visit, there were 3 children present with 1 staff.
During the investigation, LPA conducted confidential interviews, reviewed facility files and records, and obtained documents pertinent to the investigation. The evidence gathered revealed the following:

Allegation One: Based on the interviews and record review, there was not enough evidence to corroborate that Licensee allows minor children to provide care and supervision to daycare children. It was reported that licensee has in the past allow minor children to care for licensee younger siblings but deny allowing minor child to care for day care children.

Allegation Two: Based on the interviews and record review, there was not enough evidence to corroborate that Licensee allows smoking on the premises during daycare hours. Confidential interviews did not disclose the licensee allows smoking on the premises.

Based on information obtained, observations, interviews conducted, relevant information received, this allegation is deemed UNSUBSTANTIATED. Both allegations have been deemed Unsubstantiated meaning, the allegation may have happened or are valid, but there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove or disprove that the alleged violation occurred.

This inspection was conducted in person. LPA read the report with Licensee, Brittany Harris and provided a copy of the report, Appeal Rights, and a Notice of Site Visit was given and must be posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted.
