32 | Off limit areas: Include all 3 bedrooms, bathrooms #2, #3 (upstairs, made inaccessible with mesh gate blocking the bottom of the stairs), family room & kitchen/dining are (made inaccessible with mesh gate), laundry, and garage.
Kitchen (Off-Limits: Located on the left side of the home. Home has a clean and fully stocked refrigerator/freezer, microwave, stove, dishwasher and sink. LPA observed chemicals underneath the kitchens sink. Hazardous items, sharp knives and sharp utensils (inaccessible to children high on top counter) that can pose danger to children. Licensee is part of the food program, providing breakfast, lunch, snacks and sometimes dinner.
Bathroom #1: LPA observed the bathroom. Toilet, and sink were clean, sanitized, and free of hazards. The following are inaccessible: Sharp items, mouthwash, shampoos, razors, nail polish, etc. LPA observed toilet and faucet to be in operable condition. LPA observed cabinet underneath the sink to be accessible. LPA did not observe any chemicals or poisons underneath sink cabinet.
Napping: Per licensee the older children do not nap while in care, only the infant child. LPA observed one playpen in childcare area/living room, free of blankets.
Outdoor/Backyard: The backyard was inspected. The children’s playing area is completely fenced all around with (wood fence). Applicant was reminded to supervise children while playing in the backyard. The yard has one storage shed to the right, made inaccessible with key lock, attached shed structure, and trees for shade. The yard consists of dirt, and cement for proper play. LPA observed the backyard to be clean of debris. The AC unit is located to the left upon exiting the home, made inaccessible to children with a metal cover barrier over the fan blades.
Advisory/Other: Firs Aid kit was observed to be full of supplies readily available (tweezers), located in hallway kitchenette on top cabinet to the left of the sink. CPR/First Aid, Expired in 2024. Type: CCR, Section: 102416(c), Section Title: Personnel Requirements, Regulation/Statue Language: (C) The licensee and other personnel as specified shall complete training on preventive health practices, including pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation and pediatric first aid, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 1596.866. LPA will issue a Type B deficiency. Mandated reporter was observed to be current, Expires (2/04/2027). Electrical outlets (are inaccessible with plastic covers), no recalled and prohibited toys or sleep/ play equipment were observed on the premises. |
