25 | On Wednesday, March 12, 2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA)Braddock, conducted an unannounced annual Inspection and Capacity Increase inspection. Upon arrival, LPA met with licensee (JESSICA NAVARRETE). The requested capacity is 14. The fire department has granted a fire clearance on 3/5/25. Licensee is advised that as a family childcare home operating at full capacity, she must adhere to the following: Operate with a Maximum of 14 children in care with no more than 3 Infants, also must have 2 school age children enrolled. Or Max. 12 Capacity with no more than 4 infants. A Qualified Assistant must be present when more than 8 children are in care.
Licensee JESSICA NAVARRETE guided LPA on a tour of the home. People who reside in the home are (Licensee, Spouse,) who are live scanned and have TB skin test on file and 4 minor children (9,4,2,3 months). The small family childcare home operates Monday through Friday 6am to 6pm. At the time of the visit there were 7 children present with 1 staff member.
This is a one-story house with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, dining room area, laundry room and garage. The off-limit areas of the home are Master bedroom, 4 bedrooms, 1-bathroom, laundry room and garage. There is a fireplace located in the family room which is inaccessible to children with a glass/metal barrier locked. LPA observed 1 dog. Licensee states the dog is fully vaccinated. Main care is provided in the living room area.
Back yard- There is not a body of water or premises. LPA toured the backyard and observed it to be free of garden tools, poisonous plants, thorn trees cactus, or lawn mower inaccessible to children. Licensee is aware barbecue pits or fire pits must be made inaccessible to day care children. The backyard is completely barricaded with wooden fencing and block cement. LPA observed a storage den with key lock. The children will play in the backyard to the right of the house.
