On 3 /2 / 2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Maddox conducted an unannounced case management inspection. LPA Maddox met with Site Director, Erin Jones. The purpose of today's inspection is to conduct a case management inspection, and to notify them there has been a lead exceedance referred for an Action Level Exceedance (ALE) of over 5.5 parts per billion (ppb) in the water at the facility.

Palmdale Regional Office received notification of water lead exceedance at the facility resulting from a recent water lead sampling test. Based on the records review results are at 8.200 ppb in area A of the center.

This area identified on the facility sketch as (A) -Water fountain, was never utilized for drinking nor utilized for food preparation. This site gets snacks from the nutrition center or the school's cafeteria (already prepared). During this inspection, LPA observed a locked cover over the water fountain located within the classroom. Site Supervisor states they have always utilized the water cooler for drinking water. LPA asked about the outside drinking water, Site Supervisor stated they fill up a pitcher with water from the cooler and bring it outside for drinking water.

Latashia L. Kelly, the Director, Child Development Programs shall make plans to notify authorized representatives of this corrective action in both languages English and Spanish
