32 | Records: Children's records and teacher staff records were reviewed. Director records were available for review at the facility. LPA verified there is at least 1 staff person present with current CPR and First Aid Training (exp.9/2024). Mandated Reporter expires 1/7/2025.
Outside: The outdoor play equipment was inspected for health, safety, cushioning material, good repair, and age appropriateness. The infant play area has artificial turf and is fenced and away from the other age groups. There is an area for rest (canopy). A water dispenser and disposable cups are brought outside during play. The play area was inspected and found to be free of hazards and inaccessibility to bodies of water. The slide and swing set is made of hard plastic and is not anchored, but safe for the age group children to play. There are age appropriate bicycles and toys.
Napping: Bedding shall be individually stored so that each child's bedding is identifiable, and no child's used bedding comes into contact with other bedding. Each infant's bedding shall be used for him/her only. Bedding shall be changed daily, or more often if required. Mattresses shall be wiped with a detergent/disinfectant daily or when soiled or wet; crib mattress shall be maintained in a safe condition with no exposed foam, batting or coils. The isolation area will be in the front office area.

The Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Mandated Reporter Training Requirements: §1596.8662 - As of January 1, 2018, childcare providers, administrators, or employees who work in a licensed facility shall complete the mandated reporter training provided according to paragraphs (2) and (3) of subdivision (a), and shall complete renewal mandated reporter training every two years following the date on which he or she completed the initial mandated reporter training.
