On June 2, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Carol Heath conducted an unannounced follow-up complaint visit at the Kids & Care Inc. #367750033 regarding complaints received on April 28, 2025. LPA Heath met with the Director, Sonia Galvez. The purpose of the visit was to interview school age children and deliver the findings related to complaint allegations. During today’s visit, the director reported 22 school-age children with a staff member and herself were supervised the school age children.

As part of the investigation, LPA Heath obtained a copy of the facility roster and reviewed the facility video on May 23, 2025. LPA conducted interviews with the director and other relevant individuals. The findings are as follows:
Allegation 1: Staff retaliated against the child’s parent for a prior complaint:
Finding: Based on interviews and other information obtained, there is no preponderance of evidence to prove that the staff retaliated against the parents.

Finding: Based on interviews and other information obtained, the facility terminated the family's stay due to non-compliance with the Admissions Agreement.

This agency has investigated the complaint. At this time, it is determined that although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation(s) did or did not occur; therefore, at this time, the above allegations are Unsubstantiated.
