32 | Napping: The center uses cribs and cots, enough for children in care to nap. Cribs are assigned to each child. Bedding and linen are stored in cubbies. Linens are washed weekly or as needed. Each mattress and cot is covered with a sheet. There is access to a safe walkway. Center maintains infant sleeping logs current and available to the department for review. LPA observed one sleeping log per child. Infants up to 12 months of age have a completed Individual Infant Sleeping Plan (LIC 9227), copies are maintained and kept in the infant’s file. There is a changing table for Infants in care within arm’s reach of a sink.
Food Service: The facility provides breakfast, snacks, and lunch. Menu items are posted on centers hallway to the right. LPA observed an appropriate amount of food and snacks inside the kitchen. Cleaning solutions and other chemicals are kept in the cabinet underneath the kitchen sink, and the kitchen is locked and inaccessible to day care children. Sharp knives and sharp utensils are kept out of reach in kitchens top cabinet. LPA observed a refrigerator and freezer temperature log, and allergy list posted on refrigerator and in each classroom.
Outdoor play: The facility has one (1) playground area which is divided for infant and pre-school children. Equipment was inspected for health, safety, good repair, hazards, and age appropriateness. The playing area was observed to be free of debris, free from hazard, holes, broken items, and debris. Center utilizes artificial grass under climbing structures for cushioning. There are two patio overhead canopy shade structures (one in each area). LPA observed a large climbing sliding structure anchored to the ground. The area was observed to be free of debris. Outside Drinking water is available in the form of zippy cups. There are no bodies of water observed on the premises. The entire playground is enclosed (chain-link fencing) to protect children and to keep them in the outdoor activity area.
Other: Fire/earthquake drills are current (Fire:4/10/2026, Earthquake:4/23/26). Fire extinguishers 3A40BC (last served 4/16/2026), and smoke detectors in each classroom are operable. Electrical outlets are inaccessible (cover/plugs); there are no recalled or prohibited toys or sleep/play equipment were observed on the premises. There are no window cords accessible to children.
First Aid Kit’s are full and accessible (thermometer, bandages, gauze, scissors/tweezers). LPA observed sign in and out sheets and roster personnel to be current. Per director, transportation is not provided for daycare children.
