25 | On 06/15/22, at 8:30 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Rajani Goudreau conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection and met with Director, Priscilla Laguna. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and toured the facility indoors and outdoors. This is a full day program which operates year around. There were no children in care at time of inspection. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
There were no bodies of water observed on the premises of the property. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible, per observation. No poisons were observed during the inspection. LPA informed director all poisons shall be kept in a locked storage area. Furniture and equipment in the classrooms are in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts, per observation. All materials and surfaces accessible to children are toxic free. LPA observed the toilets and hand washing facilities in safe and sanitary operating conditions. The floors in the facility were observed to be clean and free of hazards. All kitchen, food preparation and storage areas were observed to be clean. Solid waste storage containers have tight-fitting covers and are in good repair. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors through the use of refillable water pitchers. The surface of the activity spaces was observed to be maintained and in safe conditions and is free of hazards. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors and a first aid kit that meets requirements. The childcare center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. See LIC809-C continuation page... |
