25 | On 06/03/24 at 1:20 PM, LPA Sherlynn Banas made an unannounced CASE MANAGEMENT inspection, for reported Lead Exceedance. LPA met with Director, Barbara Etiene. Facility has 5 classrooms but 3 were only used. There were no staff and teachers present at the time of inspection. LPA examined the water outlet deemed an Action Level Exceedance.
LPA Banas asked if the sink was never used for food preparation and drinking. Director stated it was never used for food preparation and drinking purposes. The sink was not working for a year before the testing. There was a STOP sign that indicates that it is not in use. Before it was broken, it is only used for hand washing. Director clarified that Room C was used as an after-school room with 8 children at the most and not used as a regular preschool classroom. After the testing, the sink was totally shut off. Director stated that she is waiting for a retest.
Director states that school will closed for the summer. Retest for the faucet will be done over the summer. She will notify LPA Banas through email for the result of the retest.
