25 | On 3/13/2023 at 12:30 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Joelle Redding, met with Director, Denise Naswari, for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. There were 50 children present as follows: Room 1: 11 children with a teacher and an Aide; Room 2: 18 children with Director, teacher and an Aide; Room 5: 11 children with a teacher and an Aide and Room 6: 10 children with a teacher and an Aide. The toddler room was vacant as all children in that program go home by noon. Facility is within ratio and capacity.
LPA toured the facility. The rooms were clean, orderly and a comfortable temperature during this visit. Adequate ventilation and heating are available. The furniture, books, games and toys are safe, age-appropriate and in good repair. There are a variety of activities available throughout the day. All required forms were posted. All storage containers and trashes containing solid waste have tight fitting lids and are in good repair. Children bring their own lunches and parents rotate bringing snack. Staff assisting with any food products are following proper food handling and sanitation procedures. Emergency snack food is on hand, is of proper nutritional quality, stored separately from any chemicals or cleaning products in each classroom. Drinking water is readily available and is bottled. No faucets or outlets are used for food prep or drinking.
Napping equipment is sufficient for each child, bedding is stored separately, and mats are disinfected after use. Facility has ensured that there is adequate space between mats for easy passage and they are not blocking entrances or exits. Hand washing and toileting areas are in a safe, sanitary and operating condition. Any waste water used to clean is being discarded after use. Medications are kept in each classroom, inaccessible to children. Poisons, disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other items that are dangerous to children have been made inaccessible. Director is reminded to ensure staff are regularly checking cabinets and drawers to ensure safety. There is no evidence of rodent or insect activity. Outdoor play areas are fully
