25 | On 06/25/2024 at 11:21am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Selina Siao conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection to remeasure all the indoor and outdoor areas due to the recent request to change the infant license capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director Lori Jiannuzzi and conducted a tour of the facility. LPA observed 13 children with 2 staff members in the Preschool classroom, 12 children with 2 staff members in the Pre-K classroom and 15 children with 2 staff members in the Two's classroom. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. Facility operates Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Lori Jiannuzzi that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.
LPA continued to tour the facility and remeasured all the indoor and outdoor activity space. Total indoor activity space measured to be 2482.40 square feet for the three preschool classrooms which is only sufficient for 70 children due to the encumber spaces in the classrooms. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via children's own water bottle and it gets refill via the sink water. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There is swimming pool located at the parking lot with proper fencing that meets the licensing requirement. Director stated that no weapon is at the facility.
LPA observed a total of 11 sinks and 11 toilets available for children’s use. These are more than sufficient to accommodate the current capacity.
