Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jennifer Lott conducted a complaint investigation visit to deliver findings for the above allegations. LPA was greeted at the front door by Licensee, Jennifer Wenck and was granted entry after identifying herself and disclosing the reason for her visit.

The Department’s investigation consisted of observations, interviews with staff and outside sources. It is alleged that the licensee yells at day care children. Based on interviews conducted with parents and staff, the licensee does not yell at children. Licensee naturally has a loud personality/voice and just talks loud in general. There was no evidence to prove that the licensee, yells at children.

It is also alleged that the facility is in disrepair. Based on LPA’s observations, interviews with staff and parents, the facility remains neat and clean. There are no broken toys, trash or debris on the day care grounds. Side yard and lower yard are off limits and not part of the day care space.

This agency has investigated the complaint alleging the licensee yells at day care children and the facility is in disrepair. The Department has found that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED. An exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee Wenck. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
