25 | On 10/12/2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) arrived at the facility at 8:35AM. The purpose of this inspection is to observe corrections to deficiency cited on 10/4/23. A person by the name of Jeandeline Loume answered the door. Observed was one day care child. Mrs. Alceus arrived at 8:52AM, followed by her husband Ronald Ernest. Mr. Ernest helped translate in Creole. Mrs. Alceus opened the back door to LPA, observed another child in the back room. Ms. Loume stated that it was her son in the back room. Mrs. Alceus stated that she was out to get some groceries.
Ms. Loume does not have fingerprint clearance on file and was left to supervise 2 children.
All corrections to deficiencies cited on 10/4/23 were observed corrected.
TYPE A DEFICIENCY WAS CITED TODAY. CIVIL PENALTY WAS ALSO ASSESSED.
Type A deficiency if not corrected poses an immediate risk to the health, safety and personal rights of children in care.
LPA Nancy Diaz informed licensee, Nerlande Alceus that this report dated 10/12/13 document(s) (1) Type A citation which shall be posted for 30 consecutive days as there is immediate risk to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care.
Also, LPA Nancy Diaz informed the licensee Nerlande Alceus to provide a copy of this licensing report dated 10/12/23 that documents any Type A citation to parents/guardians of all children currently enrolled by the next business day or the next day the children are in care, and to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report. A signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC 9224), or other written statement, must be placed in the child's file for verification.
Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee. LPA provided a copy of this report and appeal rights today. Notice of site visit was provided and observed posted. This notice shall remain posted for 30 days. |
