25 | On August 6, 2024, at 1:20 PM., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Sherlynn Banas met with Licensee Prasanti Udimudi, for the purpose of increase in capacity from eight (8) to fourteen (14) children. No children were present at the time of inspection. Present were licensee's 2 minor children.
LPA toured the 2-story home. There are three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs. All required forms were posted. There is a working telephone on the premises. There are no bodies of water or weapons/firearms or ammunition in the home or on the property. The fire extinguisher size (3: A:40BC) meets requirements and is fully charged, located in the kitchen, living room, and hallway upstairs. The smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector are operational. Applicant’s Pediatric CPR/FA certification is valid through 12/22/24. Mandated Reporter training certificate expires on November 22, 2024. Control of property was verified and licensee own the home. The Fire Safety Inspection Request (STD 850) was approved by the local fire marshal and GRANTED the capacity increase to fourteen (14) children on 07/29/2024.
Applicant will be using the following areas for childcare: Living room, dining room, office & classroom in one, family room, bathroom, and fenced backyard. Off limits areas of the home are all the bedroom upstairs barricaded by a safety gate for inaccessibility, kitchen, and garage. Outdoor play area is fenced and equipped with age-appropriate play equipment and toys, in good condition. Applicant was reminded of requirements for children’s records, child abuse reporting, unusual incident reporting, immunizations, criminal background clearance procedures and policies, and posting requirements. Licensee stated that she has no fire drill because operation was started recently.
Applicant was reminded that walkers, exersaucers, bouncy seats, jumpers, drop side cribs and napping portables are not to be used for day care. Smoking during in or around day care areas is prohibited. |
