25 | On May 15, 2024 at 8:40 AM., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Sherlynn Banas conducted an announced Increase in Capacity Inspection. LPA was greeted at the front door by licensee, Gulnar and Abdul Nayebzada and granted entry after identifying herself and disclosing the purpose of her visit. The son, Abdul Nayebzada provided translating service as the licensee's primary language is Dari. The home consists of 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The applicant will be using the following areas for daycare: Living room, dining room, kitchen, downstairs bathroom, backyard. There was a mesh barrier to go upstairs. Off limit areas include: All 2nd floor rooms, garage and front yard.
The home has a functioning carbon monoxide / smoke detector in one and fire extinguisher that meet statutory requirements. The fire extinguisher size (2A10BC) meets requirements and is fully charged located upstairs by the kitchen. There are no fireplaces or open faced heaters in the home. Storage areas for poisons, detergents, cleaning solutions, medications and items which state keep out of reach of children have been locked and inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water at the home. Applicant’s Pediatric CPR/FA certification is valid through December 24. All adults living in the home were fingerprint cleared. Control of property was verified today. The Fire Safety Inspection Request (STD 850) was approved by the local fire marshal and GRANTED the capacity increase to fourteen (14) children on 05/02/2024.
There are no firearms or ammunition stored on the premises. The home is kept clean with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Where children less than 5 years old are in care, stairs are fenced and/or barricaded. The home provides safe toys, play equipment and materials. Staff immunization were reviewed and in compliance. There is a working phone and email address.
