25 | On 1/22/25 at 1:40 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA’s) Adriana Macias and Sharon Mendez, conducted an unannounced case management inspection in reference to the licensee’s request of an increase of capacity. LPAs met with Licensee Danielle Gutierrez and also present were 6 children from day care. Four school age children were napping and 2 infants were playing in Day Care Room. Also present was helper Savannah Conn. Licensee was advised to stay within ratio, even if the children where napping. This visit is to verify that the licensee remains in substantial compliance with the health & safety standards as required by regulations governing large family childcare homes. Licensee has all appropriate forms posted. LPA confirmed with licensee that all adults residing/working in the home have criminal record/TB clearances. The home appears to be large enough to comfortably accommodate 14 children.
Fire clearance was granted and received from the San Diego Fire Department on 1/14/25.
LPA toured the 1 floor, single family home and licensee has provided adequate space for the children to eat, sleep and play within the home. Areas used for childcare are the Daycare Room, Kitchen, Living Room, Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2, Master Bedroom, and Backyard. Off limit areas are the Garage and Master Bathroom and are inaccessible by use of doorknob covers and locks. Backyard is fully fenced and accessible for outdoor activities. The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector meet requirements and are operational. All hazardous items were latched/locked and secured out of reach of children. There are no bodies of water in the home and licensee states that there are no weapons in the home.
