25 | On 4/20/2022 at 4:08pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Selina Siao conducted an unannounced case management inspection for the purpose of capacity increase. Licensee has requested to increase the infant capacity to 21 by using the inactive license school age classroom #3. The school age license with facility number 376105051 was placed on inactive status in order to proceed with the capacity increase for the infant program.
Upon arrival, LPA Siao met with Assistant Director Lindsay Last and conducted a tour of the current licensed infant classroom #2. There are 2 infants in care supervised by staff Kristah McDaris. Staff members present today have the required background clearances and are associated to the facility.
This facility is currently licensed for 10 infants in classroom# 2. Licensee submitted a capacity increase application to add classroom# 3 for older infants (mobile and walking infants 12 months to 2 year old). Room 3 was inspected and was previously measured at 398.37 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate up to 11 children. The room is equipped with age appropriate equipment, furniture, supplies and materials for 1-2 year old infants. There are a total of 2 toilets and 4 sinks in the classrooms. There are water bottles in each classrooms that the staff uses to refill the children's bottles or cups. Assistant Director stated that children brings their own water bottle when they are at the playground.
The infant playground was previously measured at 456.60 square feet, which is sufficient for no more than 6 children. Licensee has submitted a request for the infants and preschool children to share the school age playground space. The school age playground was previously measured at 1145.67 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate no more than 15 children. |
