On 02/28/2025 at 12:00 p.m, Licensing Program Analysts, Renita Rodriguez and Hanna Lucas conducted an unannounced Annual inspection. LPAs identified themselves, provided badges and disclosed reason for the inspection. LPAs met with Center Director, Audrey Hutchinson. Ratios observed 36 and 6 staff.

First Aid Kits are kept in classrooms. Advised medications to be stored in each classroom.

Rooms 1 and 5 are used for pre-k. The rooms are complete with age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. There are cots for each child for nap time. Drinking water is available in each room by use of a pitcher. There are 4 toilets. There are 4 sinks. Children are to be escorted and supervised by staff to and from the bathroom and direct visual observation is required. There is a separate bathroom for staff. There is a carbon monoxide detector on site located in the kitchen. The kitchen area currently includes a sink, refrigerator, electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, and storage units. The menu is posted, as well as all other required documents for the parents and employees. The sign in and sign out sheets are located in each room. Child and staff records were current, on file and up to date.

The playground area is separated into 3 separate sections for all components of the facility and are all properly fenced. The preschool playground is separate from the infant and toddler playgrounds. There is age appropriate equipment.

Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual – Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. Director was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test.

For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1- CCP).

LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP.
