32 | There is a separate bathroom for staff, which will be designated for use by children who are ill. There is a carbon monoxide detector on site located kitchen. The kitchen area currently includes a sink, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, stove, and storage units. The menu is posted, as well as all other required documents for the parents and employees. The center will be providing electronic sign in/out located in the front lobby.
The infant and toddlers have separate indoor and outdoor activity space. The infant playground measures 866.25 square feet, which is enough space for 11 children. There is a large umbrella for shade, a large grassy area, and water will be brought out in pitchers. The toddler playground measures a total of 1,448 square feet which is enough space for 19 children. A playground waiver for the children to use the playground on a scheduled basis due to space limitations shall be submitted and approved prior to licensure. This playground has a grassy area, a large umbrella for shade, and water will be provided by using a pitcher. Playgrounds are appropriately fenced.
This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
