25 | On 04/25/2023 at 9:20am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Samantha Clenista conducted an announced Pre-Licensing inspection. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director/CEO, Cindy Quintana Roo, and Ilse Vianney Villerreal, Assistant Director. LPA took a tour of the facility per facility sketch. There were no children present during inspection. This facility houses a Toddler Program (ages 18-36 months) in Classroom 1 and a Preschool Program (children ages 2-K) in Classroom 2 and Classroom 3. Fire clearance was granted on 03/01/2023. There is a First Aid Kit kept in each classroom. When medications are on site (depending on the medication), they will be stored in the teacher’s conference room (inaccessible to children).
All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children were inspected and measured today. Classroom 1 (toddler room) measured at approximately 736.99 sq. ft. which will accommodate a total of 21 toddlers. Classroom 2 measured at approximately 696.08 sq. ft. and Classroom 3 measured at approximately 943.16 sq. ft.. Total square footage for the preschool classrooms measured at 1,639.24 sq. ft., sufficient for a total of 46 children. LPA observed all indoor play space to be complete with age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. The toddler room is equipped with 2 toilets, 2 sinks, 1 staff sink and 1 additional sink that is within arm’s reach of a changing table. There are a total of 2 urinals, 4 toilets and 5 sinks available for the preschool children. Children are to be escorted and supervised by staff to and from the bathroom and under direct visual observation. There are two separate restrooms used by staff located on the second floor of the building above Classroom 2 & 3, which will also designated for use by children who are ill. The director’s office will also be designated for use by children who are ill. There is a carbon monoxide detector on site located in each classroom by the staff sink. There is a kitchen area, which is located next to Classroom 2, which currently includes a microwave, refrigerator, sink and snacks. Facility requires the parent to provide their child’s daily meals. Sign-in sheet will take place upon entry of each classroom on a clipboard. |
