25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hayley McCarthy conducted an unannounced annual inspection on September 25, 2025 at 10:15AM. LPA met with Program Admin, Daniel Luna who provided a tour of the preschool. This facility operates as a combination childcare center, and the following licensed programs were also inspected on this date: Infant Center.
During the inspection, several key facility items were observed. These included the facility's license, the Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC610) and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist (LIC9148), the Parent’s Rights Poster (PUB393), Personal Rights (LIC613A), the Child Car Seat Law notice, and the menu. The facility was found to be operating within the limits stated on its license, and staff-to-child ratios were observed to be 1 teacher to 4 children. Classrooms were adequately equipped with age- and size-appropriate furniture and materials, ensuring a safe and hazard-free environment. The facility representative confirmed that no weapons were present on the premises.
There were no accessible bodies of water on-site. The facility representative is aware that any wading pools or similar products must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position. Drinking water was available both indoors and outdoors through water jugs and drinking fountain. LPA verified that lead testing was completed on February 1, 2025, and the next testing is due by February 2, 2030 (five years from the initial test date).
Medications, disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other hazardous materials were stored in locations inaccessible to children, while poisons and toxins were securely locked away. The facility’s floors were observed to be safe and clean, and bathroom facilities were sanitary and in proper working condition. The playgrounds were enclosed by a secure, brick and chain link fence surrounding the perimeter of the center. The fencing was free of hazards. Outdoor activity areas contained age- and size-appropriate equipment in good condition.
