25 | On August 10, 2022 at 9:30 am, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Nasha King and Cindy Hamilton arrived at the facility to conduct a subsequent Pre-Licensing Inspection to follow-up on the required corrections noted on the previous Pre-licensing Inspection that was conducted on June 28, 2022. LPAs met with the Applicant, Ilham Daanoune for an inspection of the physical plant and review of the pending corrections.
Previously, applicant planned to use the garage area for the family child care but due to the garage not being permitted, the applicant has submitted a new facility sketch to show that the child care has been relocated inside on first level of the residence. The new facility sketch shows the family child care to be located on the first level of the home making the living room, kitchen, dining room, bathroom and “kids area” on this level accessible to children in care. The off limit areas include: master bedroom and bathroom, bedroom #2, office, backyard, and garage. LPA’s observed an operable smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, first aid kit with all required components, all stairs are barricaded and all hazardous items, toxins, and poisons are inaccessible to children.
During the visit, LPAs inspected the areas that needed to be corrected and the following was observed and/or discussed:
1. Applicant has Installed a barricade/fence to make backyard and driveway areas inaccessible.
All other corrections listed on prior report were not cleared due to the relocation of the child care within the home.
LPAs King and Hamilton have observed that the applicant has completed the required corrections. Therefore, the application for a Small Family Child Care Home will be submitted for approval with a maximum capacity of 6, or 8 with parent notification.
