On 03/18/2025 at 03:30 pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Griselda Castellon and LPA Diana Brasel, LPM Monica Cuddy conducted an unannounced case management licensee initiated visit. Upon arrival, LPA met with the Site Director Erica Gonzalez who is requesting to be licensed for 22 infants 0-24 months old in classrooms 7 and 8. Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Upon completion of measuring the indoor square footage is sufficient for a total of 21 infants. During our visit the site Director Erica will submit an updated 200 A requesting 21 Infants 0-24 months in classroom 7 and 8.

Present during today’s inspection were 8 children with 3 staff. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Erica Gonzalez that staff are required to always maintain direct vision supervision of the children during indoor and outdoor activities.

Total indoor activity space measured is 754.08 sq ft, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots/mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via water dispenser and disposable cups. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. Fire clearance was granted on 03/05/2025.

LPA observed a total of 4 sinks and 2 changing tables available for infant children’s use. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of children.

The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area for the infant component. Wrought iron with bamboo fencing surrounding the property is at least four feet high. The total square footage for all the outdoor activity space for all is 1,809.08 sq ft, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. Shade is provided via trees, umbrellas and building overhang on each playground. There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playgrounds. Erica was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing.

Corrections needed:

2. The facility will submit a waiver request for the toddler option to use the infant playground.

The requested increase from 11 infants ages 0-24 to 21 infant children will be granted upon a final file review.
