25 | On 02/15/23 at 2:00PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Luigi Gargaro, conducted an unannounced annual inspection visit and met with facility director, Alma Hutcherson. Ms. Hutcherson has replaced listed director Jennifer Ryan and stated that she has previously submitted her director paperwork to Child Care Licensing to replace Ms. Ryan as facility's current director. LPA will review status with case holding analyst and advise Ms. Hutcherson whether any further documentation is needed.
LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and toured the facility indoors and outdoors. The preschool program consists of full day sessions which run from 7:30AM-4:30PM. Days of operation are Monday-Friday and the facility operates year round. There are currently two classrooms, a three year old classroom and a four year old classroom, that are in operation. The following ratios were observed today: The three year old classroom (Room 201/Ladybugs classroom): There were 4 children present under the supervision of staff member Maybeth Arredondo and the four year old classroom (Room 214A/Beetles classroom): There were 5 children present under the supervision of staff member Donna Stephenson.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. No poisons were observed during the inspection.
Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. Playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. All toilets and handwashing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. Floors in the facility are clean and safe.
Children's breakfast, lunch and snacks are prepared and brought up to the school by the program's main kitchen located in the downstairs of the building. All food is protected against contamination and any contaminated food is discarded immediately. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. Areas around high climbing equipment, swings and slides have cushioning material to absorb falls. The facility is free of flies, insects and rodents. Facility has one or more functioning combination carbon monoxide and smoke detectors that meet statutory requirements. |
