25 | On 7/27/21 at 2:30 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst Adrian Castellon met with Director Kelly Parry for the purpose of conducting an unannounced annual inspection. There were 13 children with two qualified staff in the Skill Builders classroom, 20 children with a two qualified staff in the Kinder Connection classroom, 10 children with two qualified staff in the Toddler Option classroom, and 20 children with two qualified staff in the 2's classroom. The Early LEarners classrooms was empty on this date. Program operates Monday thru Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Parents are requested to stay at the front desk when entering the facility.
LPA toured the facility. The furniture, books, games and toys are safe, age-appropriate and in good repair. Rooms were a comfortable temperature during this visit. No hazards were noted. All storage containers and trash cans have tight fitting lids and are in good repair. There is a kitchen which is clean and sanitary with all food stored properly, per regulation. Menus are posted. Hand washing and toileting areas are in a safe, sanitary and in operating condition. Medications are kept in a safe place, inaccessible to children. Poisons, disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other items that are dangerous to children have been made inaccessible. There is no evidence of rodent or insect activity. Outdoor play area is fully fenced with sufficient cushioning and adequate shade. Playground equipment and outdoor surfaces are in a safe condition No hazards were noted. Portable water is used in and out of the classrooms. There are no bodies of water, firearms or ammunition on the property. The carbon monoxide detector is operational. LPA reviewed, sign in/out process (BrightWheel and a sample of personnel records for a health screening and on-the-job training. A sample of children's records for emergency information and a medical assessment. Children are evaluated upon entry (tempperature check) and monitored throughout the day for signs of illness. The isolation are for ill children awaiting pick up is the director's office. There are several staff present with current CPR and First Aid certification. SB 792 (staff immunizations) and AB 1207 (Mandated Reporter Training) requirements have been met.
