25 | On 11/1/2024 at 10:50 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Adrian Castellon conducted an unannounced case management inspection with the director Jessica Dorn. LPA notified the licensee the purpose of the inspection was to inspect and remeasure classroom #2 so that it may be used for day-care purposes for children ages 2 to 5 years of age. Director Dorn wishes to rescind the Toddler Component License and return classroom #2 to a traditional preschool license room (2 to 5 years of age).
The classroom measures 860 square feet after deducting encumbered spaces, enough for 24 children. There are two toilets and three sinks located in the classroom. The outdoor space previously measured and accommodates the number of children requested. Facility operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The classroom is equipped with age appropriate furniture and play equipment, tables, chairs, cubbies, bookshelves, and other materials for the children’s use. The classroom was observed to be orderly, free of hazards and have adequate heating, lighting and ventilation. The restroom's and hand washing areas were observed to be in safe, sanitary and operating condition. Uncontaminated drinking water is readily available during indoor and outdoor activities through the use of refillable water containers and water bottles brought from home. Snacks and meals are provided by the facility.
Classroom #2 may be used for daycare purposes. Facility capacity remains the same at 129. An updated license will be sent to the facility.
The following documents were discussed and provided during the inspection: LIC809 report and Notice of Site Visit. Exit interview conducted with Jessica Dorn. |
