25 | On 05/06/2025 at 9:30AM, Licensing Program Analysts, Hanna Lucas, and Saraliz Velando, met with the new Center Director, Jessica Williams, for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. LPAs advised Jessica, to send in her Director’s Packet, as soon as possible. There were 19 infants present with 7 teachers in the infant room. The infant room is split into two sections, the left side is ambulatory, and the right side non ambulatory. Facility is within ratio and capacity.
Jenni Grawvunder, Chief Operating Officer, arrived shortly after and toured the facility with LPA Lucas. The infant room was in a clean and in a comfortable temperature during the visit. All required forms were posted at the sign in table. Adequate ventilation and heating are available. The furniture, books, games, and toys are safe, and age appropriate. The infant playground is fully fenced and separate from other programs with age-appropriate play equipment. Infant food and beverages are labeled/dated, and stored in the infant refrigerator. The facility provides breakfast, lunch, afternoon, and morning snacks, depending on the needs and service infant plan. The menu is posted, changes are recorded, and the menu is stored for 30 days. There is no expired or contaminated food present. The food has been stored separately from any chemicals or cleaning products.
Infants are evaluated upon entry and monitored throughout the day for signs of illness. The isolation area for ill children awaiting pick up is located in the front office. During nap time, the children sleep separately and are not using the same crib. Parents bring their children’s individual blankets, and the blankets are sent home every Friday, to be washed thoroughly. Soiled sheets are kept inaccessible and are sent home to be washed the same day. The cribs are properly spaced and do not block an entrance or an exit. Infant bedding/napping equipment is in good repair. The napping area has a transparent wall that allows for audio and visual supervision from the activity area.
