13 | On 09/23/2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hanna Lucas, and Hector Canton, made an unannounced visit to deliver the findings on the above allegation. LPA conducted the initial complaint inspection on 09/11/2025. There were 24 infants and 8 staff members within the infant rooms (Honeybee and Elephants) today.
During the investigation, LPA observed several sites of mouse droppings, including but not limited to: between the toy shelves, the art shelves, and underneath the cribs, in the infant rooms. Interviews with the Director and the staff members confirmed that the facility is aware of the mouse droppings and has hired a pest control company to address the issue. At the time of the initial complaint inspection, the Director provided the LPA an invoice for the most recent inspection on 09/03/2025. However, in the description there was no mention of mouse droppings or any ongoing effective treatment for rodents. During today's visit, the Director provided another invoice, dated 09/12/2025, that specficed mouse droppings were found and temporary bait stations were installed. |
