25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Saraliz Velando conducted an unannounced Annual Licensing Inspection. LPA was greeted by licensee, Cindy Baudler. LPA was granted entry after identifying herself and disclosing the purpose of the visit. LPA observed the children playing in the dining room area. There were 3 children in care with Husband/helper, Peter Baudler.
Licensee has provided adequate space for the children to eat, sleep and play within the home. Home is clean, orderly and has adequate ventilation. Children’s toys and play equipment are available and observed free of hazards. Stairs are barricaded. There is a working telephone/email address. There is a fireplace in the living room that has been screened. The fire extinguisher (2A10BC), smoke alarm, and carbon monoxide detector meet regulations. Licensee states there are NO firearms in the home and LPA did not observe any. The outdoor play area has age-appropriate equipment and is fenced and free of hazardous items. Children records were reviewed and were complete. There are no new adults living or working in the home over the age of 18 years. All adult residents and helpers have been fingerprint cleared. Pediatric CPR and First-Aid certificates expire November 2025 for Licensee and November 2024 for spouse/helper. Licensee and spouse/helper have completed the Mandated Reporter Training and their certificates expire September 2026. There is a working telephone and email address.
To improve the quality and value of the new inspection process, a survey will be sent to the email address provided. Please complete the survey and share Licensee or facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day / per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
