13 | On 9/9/21 at 1:50 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Casey Gulley arrived to conduct an unannounced inspection to deliver complaint findings. Upon arrival, LPA met with licensee to discuss final findings on allegation that construction may be a hazard for daycare children.
During the course of the investigation, interviews were conducted with the licensee, facility staff, daycare parents, a contractor and neighbors. According to interviews, the licensee hired a contractor to build an additional play structure on the premises. The licensee denied the allegation, stating she installed temporary barriers located between the play area and construction area to prevent children from entering the temporary off-limits area. On 07/22/21, during facility tour, LPA observed construction materials and power tools located outside the facility's gate in an area inaccessible to children in care. Construction of the play structure was completed on 8/27/21 and the licensee has removed the temporary barriers.
