32 | P2 The west side patio with grass area and back yard will be used for outdoor play and activity. Licensee stated she and her assistant provide direct supervision at all times when children are conducting any outside activities. Licensee has an ample amount of children's toys, age appropriate outdoor play equipment and structures, books, and non-toxic child safe arts & crafts materials available. The Licensee has a working cell phone. Licensee stated there is 1 gun in the home. LPA observed that the gun is not loaded, has a trigger lock, and locked in a gun bag. Ammunition for the gun is locked in a safe. Both are in a locked room inaccessible to children. There are no other weapons in the home.
Facility roster is maintained and was reviewed. LPA reviewed children’s files. Children’s files reviewed were complete and met regulations. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances or exemptions.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Licensee's Mandated Reporter AB1207 training expires 09/2027. Pediatric CPR and First Aid certifications expire on 09/2027. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 07/10/2025. Licensee owns the home and Control of property (Prop. tax bill) was viewed and verified during the pre annual inspection file review.

Licensee was advised if there is to be an infant in care, there must be one crib or play yard for each infant who is unable to climb out of the crib or play yard. Cribs or play yards are free from all loose articles and objects. See LIC 809C Continuation...
