25 | On 3/28/23 at 8:23 am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Annette Sutherland conducted an unannounced annual inspection with the Licensee. Upon arrival, LPA met with Licensee Ambria Romero. Also, in the home was Helper Jacaranda Agundez. Licensee’s own 3 (1 under 10 in ratio) and 3 foster children (1 under 10 not with day care children) were present. Licensee was provided the Inspection Checklist (LIC 126). The 1 story home was toured and inspected to ensure an environment safe for the care and supervision of children. Present in the home were 13-day care children.
Licensee has provided adequate space for the children to eat, sleep and play within the home. Areas used for childcare include LIving room, dining room, playroom, kitchen, Bedroom 1,3,4, bathroom 1-2. Off limits areas include master bedroom (bedroom #2), portion of backyard gated for dog, detached garage and are inaccessible through use of safety gates and door know covers. The licensee has sufficient toys and equipment available. The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities. LPA conducted childcare quality management interview with the Licensee.
The fire extinguisher (located on the wall by the playroom) meets regulation and is operational. The carbon monoxide detector/smoke detector combination (located in the kitchen and playroom ceiling) meet requirements and are operational. All hazardous items in the kitchen were not latched/locked or secured out of reach of children. There are no bodies of water on the property. Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. |
