25 | On July 27th, 2023 at 11:20am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) David Miller conducted an unannounced 1-year inspection and met with the licensee Andrea Lizaragga. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted facility entry by the Licensee. The licensee, two infants, two school age kids, and three (3) preschoolers were present in the facility during this inspection. This facility is a one (1) story, four (4) bedroom, three (3) bathroom house. Licensee accompanied LPA inside and out of the facility during this inspection. Licensee is using the following areas for day care: hallway bathroom, living room, dining room, and family room. Off-limits areas include: all bedrooms, kitchen, garage, studio and master bathroom. Business Hours: Monday thru Friday, 7:00am-6:00pm.
The fire extinguisher and smoke/carbon monoxide detector met requirements. Hazardous items were observed inaccessible to children during this inspection. The licensee has available toys, play equipment and materials. Children play outside in the fenced front and backyard. Licensee was reminded that continuous supervision is to be given to children whenever engaged in outdoor activities. No bodies of water were observed on the premises during the inspection. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home and LPA did not observe any firearms at the time of this inspection.
Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certifications expire in 09/23/2023. Licensee has required immunizations. Licensee completed the mandated reporter training on 07/26/2022. The facility roster is maintained and was reviewed. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 06/23/2023.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
