25 | On 3/7/24 at 11:30am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Patrick Ma conducted an unannounced annual inspection. Upon arrival, LPA identified himself and provided his badge to Licensee Elizabeth Pedroza. Also, in the home was minor daughter assisting in child care. Licensee was advised daughter must always be under director supervision. The one story home was toured and inspected to ensure an environment safe for the care and supervision of children. Present in the home were 11 day care children, including 2 infants.
Licensee has provided adequate space for the children to eat, sleep and play within the home. Areas used for child care include living room, dining room, kitchen, day care room, hallway bathroom, backyard, and patio area. Off limits areas include all 3 bedrooms and are inaccessible through use of doorknob covers. The licensee has sufficient toys and equipment available. The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector meet requirements and are operational. All hazardous items were latched/locked and secured out of reach of children. There is no body of water on the property. Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. First Aid and CPR certifications expire on 1/2026. Licensee has required immunizations. Licensee completed Mandated Reporter Training on 4/27/22 and is reminded it must be completed every 2 years. Children records were reviewed and found to be in order.
