32 | During interviews with licensee and staff member, the use of high chairs was discussed and determined to be in compliance with Department standards and regulations. During interviews with daycare children, no children reported witnessing high chairs being used for extended periods of time.
It was alleged that licensee does not provide adequate food service. Interviews were conducted with five (5) daycare parents, licensee, one (1) staff member, and seven (7) daycare children regarding this allegation. Nutrition program reports were also reviewed and LPA inspected food supply at facility. During interview with daycare parents, no parents expressed any concern regarding the quality of food service being provided at facility. During interviews with licensee and staff member, daycare food service was discussed and determined to be in compliance with Department standards and regulations. During interviews with daycare children, no children expressed concern or displeasure with food provided at facility. Review of Nutrition Program reports indicates that facility is in compliance with program standards. During LPA's visual inspection of food available at facility, all food appeared to be satisfactory for consumption by daycare children.
It was alleged that licensee's behavior poses as a risk to the daycare children. Interviews were conducted with five (5) daycare parents, the licensee, one (1) staff member, and seven (7) daycare children regarding this allegation. During interview with daycare parents, no parents expressed any concern regarding the level or quality of care being provided at facility. During interviews with licensee and staff member, daycare discipline policy was discussed and determined to be in compliance with Department standards and regulations. During interviews with daycare children, one (1) daycare child stated that licensee yells at daycare children and that this was upsetting.
Based on interviews conducted, there is a lack of evidence available to be able to draw definitive conclusions. Although the above allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore it is determined that the above allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED.
A copy of this report, appeal rights (LIC 9058 - 03/22), and LIC 9213 – Notice of Site Visit was provided to the licensee. Licensee was advised to post the LIC 9213 for 30 days. An exit interview was conducted with licensee, Mounia Chemsi. |
