25 | On September 13, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Angela Nguyen conducted an unannounced case management inspection and met with Licensee, Michelle Galvez. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entrance by the licensee to the facility. There was 3 children and 1 staff present during inspection. This facility is a 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom single story home. The following areas are used for childcare: living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom located in the hallway. The following off-limit areas are: 3 bedrooms, backyard and garage.
LPA reviewed and verified that all adults residing or working in the home have received criminal background clearances and/or exemptions. LPA observed during inspection the facility is within ratio and capacity limitations listed according to the license. LPA observed that the facility has age-appropriate play and napping equipment for children’s use.
During the inspection, Licensee states she would like to update her hours of operations to Monday through Friday , 5:00 am-9:00 p.m. LPA obtained an updated LIC 279 Family Childcare home application from licensee and other required documents.
LPA reviewed section Health and Safety code 1596.78(a) "Family day care home" means a home that regularly provides care, protection, and supervision for 14 or fewer children, in the provider's own home, for periods of less than 24 hours per day.”
No deficiencies were cited during today’s inspection.
An exit interview was conducted with the licensee. The licensee was provided a copy of their appeal rights (LIC 9058) and notice of site visit (LIC 9213). Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. A copy of the report was reviewed and provided with Licensee, Michelle Galvez.
