25 | On December 16, 2024, at 9:00 AM., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Gloria Gonzalez conducted an unannounced an Annual/Random Inspection and met with Staff, America Moran. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Moran. Eight (8) daycare children (1 infant, 1 school age and 6 toddlers ages 2-4 years old and not enrolled in school) and one (1) staff member were present in the facility during this inspection. Licensee arrived on or about 9:25 am.
This two story, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home. Moran accompanied LPA inside and out of the facility during this inspection. The following areas used for child care are: living room #1 and #2, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and backyard. Off limits areas are garage, and all of upstairs (4 bedrooms and 2 bathroom) and are inaccessible through use of door locks and a safety gate. Hours of operation are: Monday through Sunday from 4:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met requirements. Hazardous items were not made inaccessible to children during the inspection. LPA observed cleaning compounds in the kitchen cabinet that were not made inaccessible to daycare children. The licensee has toys, play equipment and materials available. The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities at time of inspection. The upstairs is not used and was not gated off at the bottom of the stairway and the Licensee understands the gate must be in place when children under five years are present during day care hours. Licensee stated no bodies of water and LPA did not observe any bodies of water on the premises during the time of this inspection. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances. |
