25 | On 09/14/2022 at 10:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Adrian Castellon conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection with applicant Elena Rodriguez. The purpose of the inspection is to ensure that the home is in compliance with standards established in CCR, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, for Family Child Care Homes. This three bedroom, 1.5 bathroom home was toured and inspected to ensure the environment is safe for the care and supervision of children. Applicant's husband was also present.
The applicant provided proof of control of property for review by the Department. The applicant will use the following areas for child care: living room, dining area, kitchen, classroom, and half bathroom. Applicant understands that Off-limits areas include: bedrooms and full bathrooms. Inaccessible areas will be made inaccessible to daycare children through the use of door locks, knob covers, safety latches, gates, and fencing. There are no bodies of water located on the premises. Smoke detector meet requirements and is operational. All poisons, cleaners, and hazardous items in the home are inaccessible to children through latches, locks, and/or placed up on high surfaces.
Children’s toys and play equipment are available. Applicants states there are no firearms maintained in the home in the home. The firearm is properly stored in a gun safe. Pediatric CPR and First Aid certifications are valid.
Per applicants, operating hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Advised applicants no changes should be made to the home without prior notice and/or approval from Licensing.
