25 | On 12/21/2023 at 9:10 a.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Cindy Meier conducted an unannounced Case Management-licensee initiated inspection with licensee, Andrea Fuentes. LPA Meier informed the licensee that the purpose of the inspection was for the requested change of capacity. Licensee led LPA on a tour of the facility. There were two (2) children present at the facility during the time of the inspection. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
On 12/13/2023 a fire clearance was granted for fourteen (14) children. Applicant will utilize the following areas for childcare: playroom, bathroom #1 and outside back yard. Off Limit areas include: bedrooms #1, #2, #3, #4, bathroom #2, living room, dining room, kitchen, and garage. Off limit areas are inaccessible to children by use of safety gates and doorknob covers. Licensee utilizes the fenced back yard for outdoor activities. LPA informed licensee to ensure children are supervised at all times during outdoor activities. Licensee stated there are no bodies of water and LPA did not observe any bodies of water during the inspection.
There are sufficient age-appropriate toys, games, and play equipment available. The home was clean and orderly during inspection.
The fire extinguisher is rated 2A:10B:C and is located in the closet, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors meet requirements and are operational. Detergents, cleaning compounds, and medicines are inaccessible to children in care and poisons are to be locked away. The fireplace located in the playroom is securely screened. Children’s toys and play equipment are available. The applicant has a working cell phone. Applicant stated there are two (2) firearms in the home. The firearms are securely stored appropriately and inaccessible to children. Ammunition is stored in a separate location. |
