On 8/13/24 at 9:00am, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Patrick Ma conducted an announced Case Management – Licensee Initiated inspection regarding removing rooms 901, 904, 912, 913, and 917 then adding rooms 301, 701, 905 to already licensed multipurpose room. Change in capacity was not requested. Letter of permission from the Carlsbad Unified School District and the Principal of Aviara Oaks Middle School are on file. Upon arrival, LPA’s met with Director of Operations, Rachel Tamayo . There were no children present as program was on summer break.

LPA inspected Rooms 301, 701, 905 and multipurpose room. LPA observed rooms had tables, chairs, computers, and other school furniture in stored arrangements as the school was preparing for the new school year. Ms. Tamayo stated extra equipment and furniture will be removed once the school year begins and all other equipment remaining will be used as manufacture recommended. Hand washing and toileting areas are located at each of the classroom buildings: 300, 700, and 900. Children will use the bathrooms at the 800 building during outdoor play. Outdoor play space will be the black top, basketball courts, and playground behind the 800 building. Children will bring their own lunch and program provides PM snacks. Snack menu and required postings will be visible at rooms 301 and 701. Parents pick up and drop off their children at their respective classrooms.

Rooms will not exceed maximum capacity allowed per Fire Marshall requirements, and overflow will utilize outdoor space and/or the multipurpose room. Room occupancy and children’s ratios must always be maintained.
No deficiency observed during the visit. Additional rooms 301, 701, 905 and the multipurpose room are granted once fire clearance is submitted. Ms. Tamayo reported fire inspection appointment is scheduled for later today.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the facility representatives Rachel Tamayo. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
