On 10/25/24 at 10:00AM, LPA, Luigi Gargaro, conducted a case management visit today for a requested room change from the previous K-2 classroom to a never previously licensed classroom, classroom 3. The change in classrooms is due to the K-2 classroom undergoing renovation. Once the renovation has been completed, the program will return to using K-2 as its sole day care room. The facility is not requesting a capacity increase to their existing license which has a capacity of 24 and serves preschool children ages 3-5 years. During today's visit analyst met with school principal and site supervisor Toni Curtis as well as Early Learning project resource teacher Josephine Condra.

Classroom three was inspected and measured today at 902.91 square feet which would allow for a maximum capacity of 25 children. The classroom has a previously approved waiver to share restrooms within the co-located elementary school. The program will also continue to use the same previously approved outdoor space. The classroom was found to have age appropriate furnishings and equipment during today's inspection. A fire clearance for 24 children for classrooms 3 was approved on 09/23/24 by the San Diego Fire Department.

Based on today's measurement and inspection, the room change to the new classroom 3 has been approved with the facility's capacity remaining at the previously approved 24.
