Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tyra Block conducted an annual inspection. LPA met with Ms. Zaunb and Ms. Lourdes. The facility has a morning and afternoon program that operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m and 11:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. LPA arrived during the AM session where there were 4 staff and 18 children.

The indoor and outdoor of the facility was inspected. The facility was operating within licensed capacity and ratio limitations. Children were observed to be under visual supervision. The classroom and restrooms have adequate lighting, heating, and ventilation. All floors appeared to be safe and clean. Furniture, children's cubbies, toys appeared to be in good condition. Trash cans have tight-fitting cover. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other hazardous items are stored behind latched cabinets and a cleaning person/ custodian cleans the bathrooms between classes. Medication policies and procedures were reviewed. Meals are provided by the school. Menus for breakfast and lunch are posted monthly in the class and on See Saw app. Electronic sign in/out sheets were reviewed showing parent/guardian’s signature and time of day recorded. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition with trees for shade. Children bring water bottles daily and additional water bottles are available. There are no bodies of water or weapons present on the premises. The last fire drill was conducted and documented on 9/28/22 for AM program and 9/27/22 for PM program. Emergency Disaster Plan posted, pending update with new staff. The nurses office is designated for use by children who are ill. A sample of children records, including medical assessment, identification and emergency information were reviewed. Staff's records and transcripts were reviewed to verify teacher qualifications and experience. Opening and closing staff members have current CPR and First Aid certifications. A review of staff records indicate that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Mandated reporter training and immunizations are current.
