25 | On 5/24/2021 at 8:30am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Martha Malane conducted a case management inspection for the purpose of a capacity decrease. LPA met with Director, Stephanie Smith and was led on a tour of the facility. There were 23 children and four (4) staff present during the inspection. The facility previously operated in Rooms 102, 103, 104, 105, 106 and 107, however requested to decrease capacity from 100 to 90 and remove room 103. Room 103 will be utilized by the Infant Program.
A fire clearance for 93 preschool children was granted 5/19/2021.
· Room 102 measured at 673.13 square feet
· Room 104 measured at 583.22 square feet
· Room 105 measured at 856.51 square feet
· Room 106 measured at 620.65 square feet
· Room 107 measured at 634.32 square feet
The total indoor square footage measured 3,367.83 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate 96 preschool children, however applicant is only requesting a capacity for 90 children. There are 11 sinks and six (6) toilets available for use which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 90 children. Classrooms are equipped with age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, bookshelves, mats for napping and other activity supplies for children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via water jugs and refillable cups brought from home.
The outdoor activity space measured 5,980 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate 79 children. There is an outdoor activity space waiver on file which allows the facility to share the playground on a scheduled basis. Drinking water is available outside via moveable water jugs and refillable cups from home. |
